I was expecting a well built product from the Racor PHL-1R Pro HeavyLift model since it was supposed to be the heavier duty version of the lighter weight model Pro+. I bought two of these at once and was dissapointed at the cheap materials and construction when I opened the package. The wire grid sections were bent and fit terribly on the support beams. The J-hooks and nuts were of inferior quality with three of them having stripped out threads. The included lag screws for mounting the support rails to the ceiling rafters were cheap grade and I twisted off two of them upon installation into the joists after following the directions and pre-drilling 1/8″ pilot holes for the lag screws. Do yourself a BIG favor and make a trip to the local hardware store and pick up some quality hardened lag screws and extra J-hooks to avoid the frustration I had trying to install this product.

Worst thing of all is that both of these units were shipped with the WRONG gear box assembly for the hoisting mechanism. They were packaged with the lightweight PRO+ gearbox which apparently has a much smaller drive shaft than what ships with the HeavyLift model. There was NO POSSIBLE WAY to continue the installation until the correct model gearbox can be shipped as replacements to what was obviously poor quality control during packaging of these units. I mean, BOTH kits had the WRONG part!! So, I’m stuck with partially installed units hung on the ceiling awaiting replacement parts.

Do yourself a favor and avoid this product. It’s not worth it! caulking

Bought this product to help allow my two car garage to actually hold two cars. Once installed, I am quite pleased with the function of this item. Granted, it takes what seems to be hours to get the lift up and down, but once it’s up, it’s up – and by lowering the shelf it is a lot easier to load and unload than non-moving units.

When installing this item – take your time and download the instructional video. The paper instructions included are not nearly detailed enough and you can easily end up having to backtrack and fix some of your installation.

I would also like to see a different gear ratio for the drive gears. As it is now, the lift takes quite a while and a fair amount of strength and stamina to raise and lower – maybe there should be a drill attachment – hmmmm?!

I have 4 of these and love them. It is great to organize our garage. Christmas and Holiday stuff is easy to store on a single shelf. Kids seasonal sporting goods on another. Tools that are not used often on another. We also purchased 2 ceiling bike hangers. I love this product. I modified one of the handles by removing the plastic handle, which is easy just remove one pin. I put the metal end in my cordless drill to raise and lower the shelf. I wish they would make a straight shaft, I make weld one myself but it would be nice if your could get one from the manufacturer. here

It’s great once installed, but the installation nearly did me in. I strongly suggest two people are needed. Make sure you can find your ceiling joists and that there are two exactly 48 inches apart. If not, go to Home Depot, etc. and get two 2×4’s 48 inches long and eight 3/8″ x 6″ bolts with washers to mount into the joists you can find. Pre-drill the 3/8″ holes in the 2×4 and tap a slightly smaller hole in the joist above to avoid splitting the 2×4 and easing the installation into the ceiling. A socket wrench is key.

Once its up, its great.

I ordered and was charged for the sofa size slipcover. I received the loveseat size slipcover. The manufacturer’s packing was clearly marked as a loveseat size, but there was a sticker placed on the front of the package that said it was the sofa. Looked like a warehouse error to me. I have a sleeper sofa that is 78″ in length. The piece for the seat cushions is 65″ long and fit my cushions like a glove. It looks so good with the piping, I can’t believe it. Unfortunately, the piece for the rest of the couch is too small to get on my couch. I contacted Amazon and they want me to return the loveseat cover and re-order the sofa cover. I am nervous to do this unless I get reassurance that the mismarked loveseat cover issue has been taken care of.

The cover itself is very nice, and having two pieces makes it look so much better.

My couch was deeper than the specs but it fit just fine. It was easy to install. The look depends on how much time you take in pulling and tucking everything in. Of course it also depends on the geometry of your sofa. Overall, i’m really happy with the material quality, color and look. I would recommend it.

Even though it says it fits 96″, it doesn’t. When sitting down, the back keeps hiking up. So if you have your couch against the wall, you may not have a problem. I didn’t, so I had to move the couch. Or else, the back piece does not stay put. And now I have to buy something else that would actually fit my couch the way it’s supposed to.

It IS pretty easy to clean though. One plus. Looks ok too I guess. Trying too hard to look like suede and you can tell it isn’t.

Also, i bought this at $77. Today it’s $51. Needless to say, I’m NOT happy at all about that.

These covers were very nice; however, my couch is the exact size that these are supposed to fit but i needed another inch or 2. We have larger arm rests and the cover was not able to accommodate the additional width. click

The material the couch is made from, my 2 cats would completely destroy. I have a couch that is made from this same material though and it is so soft. Unfortunately this item didn’t turn out to work as well as I had hoped they would. With new batteries in place, the lights seemed bright enough. But when mounted, the light really doesn’t illuminate well. Yes, you can turn the lights and angle them. But the distance between where they were mounted and my desktop (20 inches) is just too far away for the lights to actually illuminate my desktop well…and 20 inches isn’t very far at all. Also, without even much use, the battery wears down quickly making the light even more dim and mostly ineffective.

I used the sticky mounts provided and placed them under a cabinet above my desk. The surface is clean and should allow for something to stick to it. Two out of the three have fallen down repeatedly which leaves me needing to permanently mount them to get them to stay up. I tried using 2-sided tape to hold it up there after it fell numerous times. Funny thing, the 2-sided tape has stayed on the cabinet, but the surface of the sticky back that it was mounted to has pulled off, leaving my light to fall again (and now it’s missing the sticky substance to stay up on its own…which is a moot point since it won’t stay on its own).

They do provide a screw for permanent mounting. But in the two weeks that I’ve had them, I don’t want to permanently mount them because the lighting has dimmed so quickly that I see these as being a money pit investment in batteries to keep the lights bright for maybe a week at a time. Now, try getting the batteries out to change them…that’s a whole different issue. You’ll definitely need some tool to get the batteries out, like a flat-heat screwdriver or something to pop them out. I couldn’t get them out with my own fingers, feeling like my nails were going to be ripped off my finger tips if I kept trying.

Ultimately, this product was very disappointing.

I put two of them under kitchen cabinets. They are not as useful as I expected. Bright enough only for a very limited area. However, the other one, which was put in a closet, works like a charm. Since they are handy, worked well as flashlights during our recent power outage. reese

I recently purchased this hammock for my parents to replace the one they currently had. They had left the previous hammock out in the rain, and some interesting growth was forming on the rope. That being said, I do not find the Duracord to be quite as comfortable as the previous cotton cord hammock- the cotton was a softer material. The softness is not a huge deal, though, because the Duracord maintains its appearance nicely. I was also surprised to find that when I went out to the hammock after a heavy rainfall, the Duracord material was as dry as if it had been baking in the sun for the past 2 days.

Outside of the Duracord material, I found this hammock to be nicely constructed overall. Some of the knots appear to be a little sloppy in how they were tied, but these knots are in an out of the way area of the hammock, so It’ll be all right with no one or nothing messing with it. The wooden bars are nicely protected from the elements with the coating they put on it.

Rope Hammock reviews

This hammock is to replace a Pawleys Island cotton hammock that finally gave out. This new one is a bit softer and a bit stretchier than the cotton one. The stretch was of some concern when we first received it, but after taking the slack out several times, it seems to be doing fine. Soft is good and if it lasts longer that’s great. Highly recommended.

This is a very comfortable hammock. The only thing I would recommend is to buy a hammock pillow to enhance the comfort. It seems that my head always wants to find the oak crossbar. Time will tell how it stands up to our weather conditions. I look forward to spending many hours in the hammock. reese

This is a marvelous hammock, it is large enough for two and holds the weight. While I have had the Pawleys Hammock before,this is the first Duracord hammock I’ve used. The feel of the Duracord material is soft and pliable. With minimal care, this hammock will last, in the Florida weather for years to come.

I am familiar with this product as I have had one for over thirty years. The last Pawleys Island hammock lasted for over 28 yrs & we replaced it with a cheap substitue. It lasted for only 2 years! So we decided to look at Amazon & used my accumulated Amazon “dollars” & got it very quickly from the original source. It is hanging in its favorite spot under the magnolia & dogwood trees…..mmmmm Fall weather …reading the Sunday paper in the hammock….doesn’t get any better…..FYI take it down in the Winter….it will last many more years……enjoy
